This Privacy Policy explains how WizTick collects, uses, stores, and protects user information. WizTick is a grocery list, meal planning, and household organization app developed by WizTick.
1. Information We Collect
WizTick may collect or process the following types of information:
- Account information: email address, display name, authentication provider, and user ID when you sign in or create an account.
- Grocery list information: grocery items, quantities, checked or unchecked status, list names, list settings, purchase history, and shopping activity inside the app.
- Shared list information: invite tokens, shared list membership, list updates, and list items needed to sync shared grocery lists between members.
- Meal planner and cookbook information: generated meal choices, saved meals, cookbook entries, recipe feedback, and related meal planner usage.
- Profile and app settings: selected language, selected country, display preferences, WizBiz balance, badge progress, and ad-free session status.
- Images selected by the user: profile images or bonus-card images if the user chooses to use those features.
- Analytics and diagnostic information: app usage events, screen interactions, feature usage, app language, country selection, session information, and crash or stability data.
- Advertising information: if ads are enabled, Google AdMob may process advertising identifiers and ad interaction data to show banner or rewarded ads.
WizTick does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as health data, political opinions, religion, race, or precise physical address.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide grocery list functionality.
- Allow users to add, check, edit, and organize grocery items.
- Support shared grocery lists and invite links.
- Generate meal ideas and weekly meal plans.
- Save meals to the cookbook.
- Track badge progress and WizBiz points.
- Provide language selection and downloadable language packs.
- Improve app usability, performance, and stability.
- Understand which features are useful to users.
- Show ads or rewarded ads if advertising features are enabled.
- Protect the app from abuse, errors, or technical problems.
3. Analytics
WizTick uses analytics to understand how users interact with the app and website and to improve the user experience. Analytics may include events such as meal planner usage, cookbook usage, language selection, country selection, shared list refreshes, campaign attribution, website visits and Google Play download button clicks, and general feature engagement.
We do not intentionally log grocery item names, emails, usernames, list names, or other sensitive details inside analytics events.
4. Firebase Services
WizTick uses Firebase services provided by Google, including:
- Firebase Authentication for email login, Google login, account creation, and account access.
- Cloud Firestore for storing and syncing account-related app data, grocery lists, shared lists, invite data, and app state.
- Firebase Analytics for app usage analytics and feature improvement.
Firebase data is processed according to Google’s privacy and security practices.
5. Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, WizTick receives basic account information needed for login, such as your email address, display name, and authentication identifier. WizTick does not receive your Google password.
6. Advertising and Rewarded Ads
WizTick may use Google AdMob to show banner ads or rewarded video ads. Rewarded ads may allow users to receive WizBiz points or unlock certain app features.
Advertising features may be disabled during testing or development. If enabled, Google AdMob may process device identifiers, ad interaction data, and related advertising information according to Google’s policies.
7. Language Packs
WizTick may download selected language files from Cloudflare Pages or another hosting provider. For example, if a user selects Filipino/Tagalog, the app may download the Tagalog language file and save it locally on the phone.
The app does not download every language. It only downloads the selected language file when needed. Cached language files may be used offline after the first download.
8. Shared Lists and Invite Links
WizTick allows users to create or join shared grocery lists. When a user shares a list, the app may create invite tokens or shared list records so other members can join. Members of the same shared list may see grocery items and list changes made by other members.
Users should avoid adding private or sensitive personal information as grocery list item names.
9. Local Device Storage
Some data may be stored locally on your device to make the app faster and usable offline. This may include app settings, cached language files, grocery list data, badge progress, and images selected by the user for app features such as bonus cards.
10. Data Sharing
We do not sell user personal data.
Data may be processed by trusted service providers needed to operate the app, including:
- Google Firebase
- Google Play services
- Google AdMob, if ads are enabled
- Cloudflare Pages for language file hosting
We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect the app, users, or developer rights.
11. Data Retention
We retain user data as long as needed to provide the app’s features, maintain account functionality, support shared lists, improve the app, comply with legal requirements, or prevent abuse.
Some shared list content may remain available to other list members until they delete the list or the relevant items themselves.
12. Account Deletion
Users can request account deletion from inside the app through the Profile section, where available. When an account deletion request is completed, WizTick deletes or removes account-related data where possible.

Please include the email address connected to your WizTick account so we can identify the account. Some data may be retained if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or operational reasons.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure. Users should protect their own devices and account login information.
14. Children
WizTick is intended for general grocery and household use. It is not specifically directed to children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
15. User Choices
Users can:
- Edit grocery lists and app data inside the app.
- Delete grocery items and lists where supported.
- Change language settings.
- Delete their account from the Profile section where available.
- Contact WizTick support for privacy or deletion requests.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of WizTick after changes means you accept the updated policy.
